Alice

Our friends Mel & Lance came around today with the ever-expanding family and I couldn't resist getting the camera out for some shots of the kids 'n dogs.

Mel had a baby girl called Alice (4?) months back, and she's such a cute kid. Just like her sister Mia, she lurves the camera! Here's a few favourites, Alice, Mia and The Patchman - my dog Chutney's boyfiend!

Ben & Charlotte's Engagement Shoot

Before we shoot our clients weddings, we always try to shoot a pre-wedding session - most clients are really intimidated by the camera (we're just not used to being photographed in this country!) and we find it makes a massive difference to the wedding day images if we can build a bit of confidence beforehand!

So here's a few pictures from our engagement shoot with Ben & Charlotte this morning. We met up at a chilly Whitstable and had great fun wandering round with no real plan, just spotting some great places to take some relaxed images of the two of them together.

They were both really nervous to start with but take a look at the pictures we got! As you can see, the nerves soon wore off! The wedding's on April 26th - and these two will look fantastic, just you wait!

Welcome!

Welcome to the first post of the fabulously successful Level Eleven Blog. We've been meaning to get around to starting one for a while now, and finally here it is.

When I married Emma in September last year, a honeymoon was out of the question, we were waaaay to busy at that time of the year! So we left it until february and took off for four weeks in Australia. This meant turning down some of the early season weddings, but we were both ready for a break following a manic 2007!

We've got another busy year lined up - ignore all the misery you hear on the news (less weddings than ever before and here-comes-the-recession are the latest two the newspapers are shouting about!) Here's one of our first weddings of the year from Chilston Park Hotel in Lenham, Kent.

Ceri & Lesley had a magnificent day, and when my assistant James and I eventually left late in the evening, the party was in full swing! Lesley looked beautiful in a stunning dress by Elie Saab, Ceri looked cool and everything went off without a hitch. Ceri's mum and dad, Iaon and Marlene, had celebrated their 49th anniversary the previous day, so the day was a triple celebration (Did I mention that Ceri's family are all from Wales..... how many times did I hear the words 'Grand Slam'???)

Unusually, due to the large number of guests, Ceri & Lesley had their ceremony in the Fitzhammond Suite, which was dressed by Elly at Confetti Connections. Their reception was in a huge marquee supplied by Cavendish Marqees in the grounds of Chilston Park - and it looked simply stunning. The flowers were incredible, (the marquee smelt great!) and they competed for attention with the cake from Creative Cakes by Maria

Finally, it was great to meet Katherine from 'To Have & To Hold' - Ceri & Lesley's videographer for the day. Sometime's, occasionally, we get problems working with videographers, but Katherines aaproach was just as low-key as our own and I reckon we made for a great team! We can genuinely recommend her services.

Great day, lovely venue, fantastic couple, what a great start to my season!

Our next wedding is something a little out of the ordinary too, check back soon for the details!
