Longspoon promo shoot

My associate/second shooter, James, was out with the Paul & the boys from Longspoon yesterday for some promo shots. The band are off to the Chinese National Pop Festival in October and being the blagger he is, James came back with a copy of their album "Symphony of Man" which is released on May 17th. Its a fantastic album, full of original tracks and some truly inspired lyrics - its well on the playlist in the studio in any case!

Good luck in China boys.....

Sarah & Richard's wedding at The Lost Village of Dode

Well, better late to the blog than not at all!

Last weekend we were lucky enough to be asked to photograph Richard & Sarahs wedding at The Lost Village of Dode, one of our favourite venues out in the countryside near Luddesdown. This amazing 1000 year old candle-lit chapel is a perfect venue for smaller weddings (it only seats 43 people!) and is just alive with character.

Talking of characters brings me to our bride! I've never shot a wedding for a happier, more vivacious character than Sarah. Landlady of a pub in Maidstone, she's one of lifes true individuals and for myself, I was just swept along with her infectious enthusiasm for.... well, everything! There truly wasn't a dull moment during the whole day, which was filled with laughter and emotion in equal measures.

It was a pleasure and an honour to meet Richard, Sarah and her boys Stacey & Chris and shoot a really special wedding.

Heres a few from the wedding day.

Ricky, coolest usher of the year....

Coolest Bridesmaid of the year!

Time for a quick game before we left for the church. Tho the game was compromised by the need for pics, Stacey took the win and claimed it as a legitimate victory ove his brother!

Taken half a second after the one above, when I told Sarah she looked like 'Ma Kray.'

Pete & Roshni's wedding

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a day go from sun to rain and back again, so many times!

Ultimately though, Pete & Roshni's wedding, at St Mary's Church, Newington was an absolute blast for James and myself. It was lovely to be back in a church (less than 25% of our weddings last year were church ceremonies....) and with the reception at the fabulous Chilston Park Hotel weather just wasn't an issue!

Roshni just looked amazing, was full of life, love and happiness. The two families are just so close to one another and the speeches were full of emotion. I just love days like that!

Here's a few from the day.

Natasha & James' Pre-Wed Shoot

Natasha's an organised girl!

In fact, before I headed out for their pre-wed shoot this morning, I looked their agreement out and realised that they booked us for their wedding photography nearly two years ago....! So it wasn't a surprise when she told me everything is pretty much organised!

Natasha & James have chosen Cooling Castle Barn for their wedding in July this year, and with summe round the corner, it was time to go and take some photos - here's a few favourites.

Andrea & Alex at Tower Bridge

It's a little known secret that you can get married in one of London's most famous landmarks - Tower Bridge. Back in 2006, we had a great time shooting a wedding there and when Alex & Andrea contacted us about their wedding in the Bridgemasters office, I must admit I practically begged them to let us photograph it - the venue only hold around 20 weddings a year, its a rare opportunity!

What an amazing venue it is. I love shooting London weddings but The location of Tower Bridge, the history and atmosphere make it one of my favourite venues. The ceremony room is tiny and seats around 40 people - just! The reception is held in the walkways above the Thames, and the catering provided by Karen and her team at The Moving Venue was fantastic. We took Andrea and Alex off after their ceremony for a stroll and got some great images around the bridge, they were a blast to be with and we had a great time braving the weather!

Andrea's dress from Alfred Angelo looked beautiful and Alex looked pretty cool in a Hugo Boss suit too!

We've got so many great photos from the day, but here's a few favourites.
