Rebecca & Matt's wedding at Herne Bay & Chilston Park

Having been let down by their previous venue, Rebecca & Matt were forced to book a new date, reception venue and, crucially(!), photographer at short notice. Being a sunday, we were free so we were delighted to photograph their wedding at 'Our Lady of The Scared Heart' church in Herne Bay on June 22nd. Then it was onto Chilston Park for their reception.

We really enjoyed this wedding, which was really lively and had a great bunch of bridesmaids and groomsmen (including three best men to make a joint speech!) and though we were safely home, i'm sure the party went on well into the night - fantastic fun!

Becca looked fantastic and was a natural in front of the camera - take a look!

Pete & Roshni's wedding

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a day go from sun to rain and back again, so many times!

Ultimately though, Pete & Roshni's wedding, at St Mary's Church, Newington was an absolute blast for James and myself. It was lovely to be back in a church (less than 25% of our weddings last year were church ceremonies....) and with the reception at the fabulous Chilston Park Hotel weather just wasn't an issue!

Roshni just looked amazing, was full of life, love and happiness. The two families are just so close to one another and the speeches were full of emotion. I just love days like that!

Here's a few from the day.

Welcome!

Welcome to the first post of the fabulously successful Level Eleven Blog. We've been meaning to get around to starting one for a while now, and finally here it is.

When I married Emma in September last year, a honeymoon was out of the question, we were waaaay to busy at that time of the year! So we left it until february and took off for four weeks in Australia. This meant turning down some of the early season weddings, but we were both ready for a break following a manic 2007!

We've got another busy year lined up - ignore all the misery you hear on the news (less weddings than ever before and here-comes-the-recession are the latest two the newspapers are shouting about!) Here's one of our first weddings of the year from Chilston Park Hotel in Lenham, Kent.

Ceri & Lesley had a magnificent day, and when my assistant James and I eventually left late in the evening, the party was in full swing! Lesley looked beautiful in a stunning dress by Elie Saab, Ceri looked cool and everything went off without a hitch. Ceri's mum and dad, Iaon and Marlene, had celebrated their 49th anniversary the previous day, so the day was a triple celebration (Did I mention that Ceri's family are all from Wales..... how many times did I hear the words 'Grand Slam'???)

Unusually, due to the large number of guests, Ceri & Lesley had their ceremony in the Fitzhammond Suite, which was dressed by Elly at Confetti Connections. Their reception was in a huge marquee supplied by Cavendish Marqees in the grounds of Chilston Park - and it looked simply stunning. The flowers were incredible, (the marquee smelt great!) and they competed for attention with the cake from Creative Cakes by Maria

Finally, it was great to meet Katherine from 'To Have & To Hold' - Ceri & Lesley's videographer for the day. Sometime's, occasionally, we get problems working with videographers, but Katherines aaproach was just as low-key as our own and I reckon we made for a great team! We can genuinely recommend her services.

Great day, lovely venue, fantastic couple, what a great start to my season!

Our next wedding is something a little out of the ordinary too, check back soon for the details!
